One of our specialties here at Young’s Wildlife is our custom whitetails. We offer many options for whitetail deer starting with standard shoulder mounts to custom pedestal displays featuring dramatic mannikin alterations and open mouths.
Our custom deer feature many details not found on others and perhaps details you may not even be aware of. All of our custom deer include full detailed septums, competition eyes, and nictitating membranes. We go so far as to recreate the tiny glands that run along the eyelids and the subtle dimpling of the nose pads. Our open mouth mounts are fully custom and original. We use only artificial parts molded and cast off fresh specimens in our studio. Our mouth work is fully detailed inside and out. We use the latest materials to achieve a very translucent, soft look to the soft tissue of the mouth to achieve the most lifelike effect.
We have studied reference for many years both photos, and live in order to create very realistic results. Though there may not be a mannikin commercially available for all poses, we can create a custom mannikin for any position you can imagine. If you can dream it, we can make it happen.
