Tim has been doing competition taxidermy for 8 years. He is a member of the National Taxidermist Association and the Maryland Taxidermist Association.

Known mostly for his competition whitetails, Tim has also competed with game heads, life-size mammals, reptiles and fish. In 2003 he earned his Distinguished Taxidermist Certification from the MTA. He has competed at state, regional, national and world championship levels. He has won numerous blue ribbons and many special awards. He has won best of categories and other awards at the Eastern Regional in Maryland, Virginia Taxidermist Convention, West Virginia Competition and Pennsylvania State championships.

Tim's passion for competition can be seen in much of his commercial artistry as well. Studying reference, molding and casting original parts and altering mannikins is essential in being successful as a competitor and applying these techniques in commercial work results in higher quality, more detailed and accurate mounts.
